THIS IS A SENIOR-LEVEL COURSE: a minimum of 5 years experience is required to attend this course but 10 years of planner experience is recommended.
In this comprehensive Certificate Program in Sustainable Business Practices you will acquire the knowledge, tools & strategies to maximize the sustainable potential of any event you create. The skills learned in this course will differentiate you as a Meeting Professional who can communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders about business sustainability.

Develop a thorough understanding of what Sustainable Business Practices actually are.
Acquire the ability to determine the most effective mix of sustainable elements to incorporate in a given event. This includes working with measurement and planning tools which will be become an integrated part of your day-to-day sustainable event planning process.
Develop effective planning and research tools to qualify and evaluate potential sustainable suppliers.
Apply this new knowledge and skills to communicate with new and existing clients.
This course has been designed using current research-based learning approaches proven to be effective for adult learners. It incorporates both face-to-face and online learning environments, commonly referred to as “hybrid learning.” The online component allows busy adult learners to acquire knowledge and skills at their own pace and experience learning that is “embedded” into their day-to-day work environment. This approach has been proven to be a highly effective in delivering professional development programs for adult learners.

Taking this Course will earn 20 Clock Hours, as confirmed by the Convention Industry Council.
FORMAT:
4 hours of in-person class, followed by 12 hours of self-directed online study, then a final 4 hours of in-person class - for a total of 20 hours.
